Annaleigh Amanda Ashford was born in America. Ashford is an actress or singer, as well as dancer. Her early roles on Broadway include the productions Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. Ashford's Broadway return will take place in the month of March 2023, when he plays alongside Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will serve as the creators of the show. Ashford played Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story Impeachment, which is based on the scandal which involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the national security crisis. She was also the lead in two seasons of CBS comedy B Positive. In addition, she appeared on the cult series, created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, with legendary actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Not a stranger to Broadway Ashford was awarded the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her character Essie. Also, she has performed on Broadway as a character in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde in addition to the original character of Lauren In Kinky Boots for which she received a nomination for a Tony Award. Ashford was raised and born in Denver and is now dividing her time between Los Angeles, and New York.
