Suzy Kolber was born Suzanne Lisa Kolber on May 14th, 1964, in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to a Jewish family. She is currently 58. Her mother's name is Sandra Kolber and her father is Gene Kolber. Her graduation was in 1982 at Upper Dublin High School and Sandy Run Middle School. Later she received her degree from the University of Miami in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications. As a student at the undergraduate level, she landed an opportunity as the sports director at Dynamic Cable Coral Gables Florida. The company also hired her with Dynamic Cable for two years, from 1984 to 1986. Also, she was part of the University of Miami water skiing team in this period. Plaza performed in Wilmington's community theatre, directing and directing one-act shows. Following high school, she relocated towards New York City where she attended improv courses at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and was a film and TV production student at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and graduated in the year 2006. An accident caused her to suffer temporary expressive paraphasia at the age of 20. old.
